Due to circumstances entirely beyond our control, it is with regret that we must vacate and therefore cease to deliver General Medical Services from our Pattingham Branch Surgery located at 9 Wolverhampton Road, Pattingham, Wolverhampton, WV6 7AF with effect from Monday 19th February 2018.
As you may well be aware the Practice have been pursuing the possible redevelopment of the Pattingham premises for some time. Regrettably, because of changing priorities and resources within the NHS, this has not been possible at the current time.
There are huge changes underway in the NHS and we are all having to find new ways of working and providing services to our patients. We are committed to maintaining our high standard of service to our patients and are confident that we can comprehensively provide General Medical Services for all of our Pattingham patients at the Claverley Practice, located at Spicers Close, Claverley, Wolverhampton, WV5 7BY. The telephone number for the Claverley Practice is 01746 710223.
We understand that some patients will have concerns, however, the Claverley Surgery is more equipped, has more services available and has more staff-offering a concentrated and comprehensive service to patients.
We do however acknowledge and understand that a number of patients will not want to travel to Claverley and will therefore want to consider registering at a more conveniently located GP practice. If you do want to consider an alternative practice, to assist you, we have supplied overleaf details of alternative local practices. Further details regarding local GP practices can be accessed via the NHS Choices website, the address is www.nhs.uk.
The Practice will be starting a streamlined prescription ordering and free home delivery service, available initially to patients from Pattingham who have difficulties collecting from Claverley and we have had several offers of assistance from local volunteers in establishing the scheme. This will make the process of obtaining repeat prescriptions easier for patients.
We are open to offers of transport and parking solutions for patients as we realise that this may be of concern. We remind patients that home visiting is only for housebound patients as the Practice would be unable to accommodate a large increase in home visiting.
The Claverley Surgery will be open every Wednesday afternoon and delivering more “surgeries”, and in the future will offer longer hours.
There will no doubt be a period where we all get used to these changes and some further adjustments to enable them to work smoothly and effectively and we ask for your understanding and help in this.
